We don't sell online, but you can phone or email order.

In early 2018 we decided to cease selling through our website, for the time being. We did not feel like we were able to offer the kind of one-on-one service we pride ourselves on through an automated system. But we understand that not all of our customers can make it to the store, so we're happy to arrange purchases via email or over the phone. Just visit the Contact Us page to get in touch.

Shipping within the continental US:

All orders are shipped USPS Priority or UPS (some heavier items may ship First Class) and tracking is always provided.
Rates are based on weight:
0.0 lb - 0.5 lb $7.00
0.51 lb - 1.0 lb $10.00
1.1 lb - 2.0 lb $12.00
2.1 lb - 3.0 lb $15.00
3.1 lb - 5.0 lb $18.00
5.1 lb - 20.0 lb $20.00

In-Store Pick-Up

We are happy to arrange free in-store pick-up on any order, please email or call +1 323 669 7388 during store hours for instructions.

Overseas Shipping:

We currently ship items to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Spain, Sweden and UK up to 1lb at a rate of $19, 1.1-2lbs $39 and 2.1-5lbs $55.
All orders are shipped via USPS and tracking is provided.
Please contact us for shipping rates on larger orders or to regions not listed, we are happy to help.


If you change your mind about a purchase, please contact us within 7 days of receipt and we can discuss your return. Once you get return authorization, we will send you a return mail slip (orders outside the US must arrange their own return shipping). Please DO NOT return an item without authorization, or you will not be credited. Discounted or "on-sale" items are NOT RETURNABLE.

You will receive a store credit or refund for the price of your item(s), less additional shipping costs.

If you have any questions at all about our policy or your purchase, please just contact us. We are a small store, and are always available to help you with your purchase – we want you to find something at Hemingway and Sons that you’ll love and treasure for many years to come. Damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.

We are not responsible for the whereabouts of goods once tracking has confirmed delivery. We suggest you check with your local Post Office or parcel carrier if your tracking says "Delivered" but you are unable to locate it.
